As sellers are well aware, marketplaces have continually raised their fees over the years. Bonanza has not made any changes to our fee structure since 2016, despite increasing inflation. As we evaluate the changes to the current economic market, we realize we need to make an adjustment to our pricing policy in order to counter the rise in operational costs. To minimize the impact on our selling community, Bonanza has made the decision to add a flat-rate transaction fee of 25¢ on all completed sales as of the end of August 2022.
We recognize that this impacts you as a small business because we are a small business. We are mindful in making a change that is least impactful to our selling community (that is, by adding a small, flat-rate fee of 25¢ rather than implementing a percentage increase). Doing so still allows sellers to list items on Bonanza and external advertising platforms without any up-front costs. We are proud to be the most seller-friendly marketplace, unique in sending all listings to Google Shopping and Bing for advertising at no cost to you. We only charge an (adjustable) final value fee - and now a small transaction fee for non-members - after an item is sold.
If you are also selling on other platforms, you will likely have already addressed the price increases to minimize the impact on your costs. You can update your prices on Bonanza to match those on eBay by using the option "Import new and revised items". If you only sell on Bonanza and need to make any price adjustments to your listings, you can do so in bulk with our Batch Edit Items tool. Contact our support team for step-by-step instructions at [email protected].
We continue to offer you methods to avoid paying final value fees altogether by using your account tools for generating commission-free sales. Whether the buyer arrived from your booth referral link, Customer Marketing Campaigns, or elsewhere on the web, you'll pay no final value fee when you drive customers to your booth.
A popular way to cover the cost of final value fees is to collect and redeem Bonanza Rewards tokens. One of the many prizes you can choose from is a credit to pay final value fees. There are multiple ways to earn tokens. You'll receive 10 each day if you sign in and claim them. Refer a seller to Bonanza to earn 5,000 tokens, or create really terrific hand-picked lists for 50 tokens. Leave a product review after completing your purchase: collect tokens. Earn a badge: collect tokens.
Thanks to our entire Bonanza community for your support and for just being awesome. It's our focus to continue listening to our sellers, so we encourage you to share your feedback with our team at [email protected].

No one likes fee increases, but this seems like a reasonable fee increase to me.
Thanks, Steve! Appreciate your kind feedback.
IMO that is completely reasonable
Thanks, Resale_Fun, for understanding. We have the best sellers!
A very fair and perfectly understandable rate increase. I have no problem with it at all.
Hi jewelrymandave, thanks so much for understanding. We appreciate your support of Bonanza.
Thanks for the heads up. Just don’t ever get rid of rewards tokens <3
Thanks for your comment, vintage0duchess! We hear you! Reward tokens are fun to collect and use.
I don’t get enough sales to even worry
Hi theaboo1961! You have a wonderful selection of magnets in a wide variety of subjects, I’m sure there’s something for everyone. Bonanzlers, check it out: https://www.bonanza.com/booths/theaboo1961
I can totally understand that, ebay has already added a .30 fee added to the final value fee for each item sold. Sometimes it just has to be done to cover cost, but I really appreciate the free listings
Hi Johnk59poetry, thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on listing for free and the transaction fee. We appreciate it!
Extremely fair. We’ve tried really hard not to raise prices, too.
Hi ModelSupplies! Thanks for your kind words. That’s wonderful that you are trying to keep prices low as well.
What if a sale needs to be canceled, does the fee still apply?
Hi Good_time_sports! If the sale needs to be canceled, the transaction fee will be refunded along with the final value fee. Any specific questions about how it works, the support team is waiting to help.
I don’t mind a fee increase but thanks to Bidenflation, you aint getting any money from me. I’ve had next to zero sales despite doing all I can to post my listings on facebook, pinterest, etc. Please don’t suggest that I up my subscription, there is no reason for “pay to play” in today’s marketplace. You should be pushing SEO on your own dime; the more I sell the more you make. The only reason I keep listing more items here is because I’ve had it with the BS of Etsbay….
Hi nagmashdriver! Thanks for providing feedback on today’s blog. Our support team would be happy to take a look at your setup to see if there is anything more we can do to help you get more views and sales. Just write to [email protected]. We’re glad to have you selling with us using a free booth with no listing fees, thanks for your support of Bonanza!
I’m just getting started and need a person to talk to in customer service. What’s their number
Hi cajunme,
Thanks for your comment. You can contact our support team by email at [email protected]. Hope to hear from you soon :)
Not a problem… You earn it! I have been with you for many, many years, and have always supported your company. I go back to when you were “BONANZLE”! Still don’t know why you dropped that name. I’m selling my 30-year business this year, and will be recommending that the new owners stay with you guys. When are you going public? Would love to own a little piece of your magic. :-) John
Thanks for your comment, TheMoldStore! It’s been a pleasure having you sell with us at Bonanza over the years, thanks for your support!
I echo what theaboo1961 said. I’ve only sold 2 items in 14 months, but the reason I stay with Bonanza is the fact that I do not have to pay listing fees and only incur fees after making a sale. A $0.25 transaction fee is reasonable and retains the free aspect of Bonanza when not making sales. I truly appreciate that. I wish there were even more ways to earn Reward tokens!
Hi Hannah77, Thanks for your feedback. I’m glad you’ve been able to take advantage of selling risk-free at Bonanza. Let us know at [email protected] if you have any ideas for more ways to earn Reward tokens! Take care!

The fee is not unreasonable. however this fee kills selling low priced items. I will probably end up closing my account do to it. It’s a shame really. I wasn’t trying to really make $ off my comics, but selling $1-$3 comic books to make .25 is now not worth my time.
Hi dutch870, You can write to our support team to learn how to offset the cost on low-price items, including batch updating your prices and/or shipping. We hope to hear from you soon to help you remain profitable on Bonanza. We value your business and are here to help!
VERY reasonable… especially since sellers with paid subscription memberships (Silver, Gold, Platinum, etc.) are not charged the fee.
Thanks for your feedback, Tom. With your membership this update will not affect you. Thanks for your support of Bonanza!
Seems reasonable compared to the other sites. I would say Bonanza is worth it.
Hi Ms_Prissys_Patterns! Thanks for your comment, we appreciate the support!
I am glad that the increase was mentioned in a thought-out manner and should not impact us in terms of making a profit. Thank you for the update.
Thank you for your feedback, petencharlie34. We were mindful of making a change that is the least impactful and we’re glad to hear that it should not affect you in terms of making a profit. Take care!
Agree with other posters…$.25 is not a deal-breaker for me either. I get that everyone has higher costs these days.
Thanks, OnlyPollyPocketDolls! We appreciate your support.
I understand all about price increases, all of my costs have gone up in every way, from postage to packing materials to inventory. The .25 fee is reasonable; however, it’s hard to justify increases when nothing is happening.
Thanks for your feedback, TomaCraftPlace! It’s difficult when costs are always going up. We held off on any increases for as long as we could. We’re glad you feel this change is reasonable, and for members there is no change at all.
Given the times, still seems rather painless—appreciated!
Thanks, TurquoiseRoads!
Not so bad!! Thanks Bonanza. I have about 2 sales a month on Bonanza, sometimes a little more. What can be done to increase them?
Hi BnDsVintage! Thanks for asking about how to increase sales. Our support team will be happy to take a look at your booth. Just drop a note to [email protected]. Thanks!
I’ve been here since 2009 and since then, you’ve only made one change in 2016. Seems fair to me. I have no problem with that, either.
Thanks for your support, AudiLee!
Sounds reasonable.
Thanks for your support, farfan_entertainment!
Everything everywhere has gone up so this is not a surprise, at least it is a slight increase compared to others.
Hi FantasticFinds2014, You’re right, prices are going up. We held off as long as possible before incurring this small fee. Thanks for selling us on Bonanza!
We are thinking about which seller program we can live with, as a new small seller, what do you recommend?
HI Hotshower!
Contact support at [email protected] An agent would love to help you take a look at the different memberships.
Good news ! I hope more sale on the current time
The 50 cent minimum FVF was already a progressive tax.
I’d have made the minimum FVF 25 cents and raised 9% to 10% – a nice round number.
The “how low can you go?” aspect of this site ought to be its trademark…
Like Nigel Tufnel’s solos.
Hi Derek, thanks for support!
My margins are so low I hate to see any increase but I understand it. Onward and upward
Hi DealsHQ, let us know if you need help adjusting prices at [email protected]. We’re happy to help.
Very reasonable fee…thanks for notification.
You’re welcome, PaperinkMixedMedia! We appreciate the feedback.
Curious to know what “the rise in operational costs” includes? We’re not dealing with bread and eggs here and gasoline isn’t needed to provide us with services.
Hi pinback_planet! We’d be happy to talk more about costs and fees if you’d like to drop us a note at [email protected]. Thanks for your comment. We appreciate your business.
Anything you need to stay alive during this tough time is fair. I have noticed you use the other sites ideas sometimes which is fine. There is one proven idea I wish you would latch onto. Your return policy options. I have been using the “None. All purchases final” because everyone I sell to has no history. It is not a true statement also. Even if you put that policy a buyer can open a Paypal claim or Credit card claim or claim not as described even if you go overboard on the description as I usually do. “Returns not accepted” is far less abrasive and it doesn’t say final and it does the same thing. If something comes up it still needs to be worked out. I know I am losing some business because of my choice. You complicate the issue to extremes with your choices. Simple is better. But most of all the word Final is simply not true and abrasive.
Thanks for the feedback, Woodworking51! We appreciate the feedback, I’ll be sure to share it with the rest of the team. Thanks for selling with us on Bonanza!
