So after I made a sale I would like to know when and how I get my payment for the item sold.

Payments are made from the payment processor (PayPal, Stripe, etc.) into the account you set up when agreeing to accept payments from those processors. Log into your payment account to have funds transferred to your bank account if you choose to. In the case of PayPal, you can leave it in your PP account or transfer to your bank account. Stripe will automatically send your money to your bank account within a few days.
