I had a customer’s package that was delayed. The customer used Stripe to checkout with.
I thought at one point I’d have to do a refund. This caused me to question how Stripe would have handled my business transaction with them. Would Stripe (or even Amazon) have charged me a fee for giving a customer a refund? Would it have been a ding on me?
Thanks,
Sharon

Hello EmpressDepot,
Thanks for your question. I think this would be a great question for the Stripe support team. You should be able to reach them directly from the Stripe website.

If you have any other questions or concerns just let me know.
Thanks!

To my knowledge, Stripe doesn’t charge you a fee to process a refund to your customer. They may withhold from you, the actual processing fees for processing the payment; but would still refund to your customer, 100% of the amount charged.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
