We're pleased to announce the release of a new feature we've been working on to foster greater camaraderie between buyer and seller: "Booth Buddy" (which I always seem to mistype as "Boody Buddy," but that's another story). The premise of Booth Buddy is simple: when you're too busy to personally welcome guests to your booth, Booth Buddy will take care of it for you, while you tend to your "important human things."
To make the Booth Buddy service feel more familiar, we've created a human embodiment named "Bizzy." To put Bizzy on the job, a seller merely needs to visit their booth chat and type the word "on." Upon issuing this command, Bizzy will swoop into your booth and start entertaining your booth guests. If you need Bizzy to be quiet, simply type "off" and she'll be gone.
We have created an artificial intelligence for Bizzy that helps her to sense what your booth guests want to talk about. Based on your visitors' grammatical cues, she'll attempt to shoot the breeze with them. While there are government projects that have spent millions of dollars on perfecting a convincing artificial intelligence system, we've trained Bizzy to work "good enough" by steering conversation toward her strong suit: joke telling. We've already taught Bizzy several of the funnier jokes on the Internet, and we plan to continue to add jokes to her repertoire in the weeks to come.
We don't expect Bizzy to be able to completely replace natural human interactions at Bonanzle, but we think you'll find her to be a handy backup when you can't be around your computer for whatever reason. We all know that "trust" is the key to driving sales, and studies have repeatedly shown that there are few better paths to establish trust than through the exchange of humor. But being funny can be hard work: you have to remember jokes and hone your delivery. With Bizzy, the hard work is done for you. After Bizzy has "warmed up" your buyers with her sense of humor, your buyers are more apt to feel at ease. This puts you in position to enter the conversation and close more potential sale.
While a project like Booth Buddy is an ambitious one, we think that it represents a great opportunity for our sellers to increase conversions by automating the difficult process of building trust during your interaction, while leaving you to do what you do best: provide a memorable service experience and a great deal.
If you know of any good (clean) jokes you think should be added to Booth Buddy's collection, feel free to add them below.

Excellent work Bill. Innovative and impressive. Nice job.
ROTFLMAO… Spend some time with Bizzy.. she is a hoot LOL I think this is a keeper!! Thanx
Well, well, well. Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free! LOL. I knew it had to be something fun and interesting for you to let Mark knock you off the Active Booths list! And now back to Larry, Darryl and his other brother Darryl.
Very cool!
Fantastic Bill! She’s a blast and quite witty too!
I’m gonna be Bizzy now. Thanks guys, what a hoot!
Good Grief. Real people need jobs. She must be an April Fools joke!
Can we have a Bizzy guy? I have nothing against girl but she’s not my type!!!
Hi, Bill,
Oh my how hilarious.
Poor Bizzy didn’t know what to do with the phrase, Hey Bizzy are your Busy!
I thought it was good but she just got confused and asked if I had a better joke to tell
Bill, this is pretty funny. That brain of yours.. I crack up everytime I read the word of the load.
I am off to see if I can get Bizzy’s goat..!

@cleo: I’d hoped to launch with a Bizzy girl and boy, but it was harder to find good clipart for the boy. Baby steps, baby steps… we’ll get you girls a robo-hunk yet!
Bizzy is amazing, Bill!! She’s going to be excellent company when I’m by my lonesome working in my booth. I can see us now, yakking it up and yucking it up. LOL!!
As for potential customers from the “outside,” from Google and such, though, for me the jury is still out on that. For now, I think I’ll keep Bizzy “off” while I’m not around, as some people may not have us Bonanzlers’ cool sense of humor.
Thank you, as always, Bill, for your hard work in keeping Bonanzle fresh, exciting…and groundbreaking!!!
“A woman walks into a bar with her 5 pound Chihuahua and sits down next to this guy, whom she notices is feeling a little bit queasy. A few minutes go by and the guy looks at her and vomits. He looks down and sees the little dog struggling in a pool of vomit and says, “Whoa, I don’t remember eating that!”
At 6am this is FUNNY
Interesting. But now none of what people are typing (I have remote on) shows in the booth.
Isn’t anyone else here thinking what I am thinking: APRIL FOOL!!!
too funny!! gonna keep deal lil ‘bizzy’ bizzy too!! thanks boyz!! just never know what u’ll come up with next
You’d better move Bonanza Bot further away from the chatbox, or the next thing you know those two will be gettin’ Bizzy!
@ Bill
What would you name a guy bot – Bonzy (ya know like Fonzy)? lol
It’s a good idea! Would like to see Bizzy answer questions about bonanzle for my customers? Example: how do I make a purchase?
I’ve invented a cousin for Bizzy who makes excuses for you if you goof up on orders or shipping, it’s called Dizzy, when contact you to to tell you that you’ve screwed up an order she initiates the conversation by asking, “May I herp youu?”
Whaddya Think?
Excellent work Bill.
But. It apears Bizzy, like any other women, has a few problems. A little moody. Needs feeding a few happy pills I think.
Can You buy Happy Pills on April 1st. LOL
Steve
Can you send ‘Bizzy’ here to entertain my husband & kid? Maybe help with the housework??
Oh! Boy Booth Buddy just made a mess in my Booth.
Who is going to clean it up? You got a Maid Buddy?
Wonderful addition to the family! Good Job Biil! I love it!
Bill,
I have a calendar with some chippendale guys on it hanging at our front cash register. I might talk my staff (all girls) out of one of those pictures so we can have a Bizzy boy!
Judy/blue
Did you guys know gullible is not in the dictionary to? ROFLMBO…
I’m thinking “April Fools”………..Billllll.
Bill – just use your own photo for the male counterpart. Works for me. That smile….yum!
Maybe I take myself and my little online business a bit too seriously, but I am not amused. If this is indeed an April Fool’s joke then ha-ha. There, I laughed.
If not, I am completely dismayed and this could be a deal breaker for me. I do not want this inane drivel in my chat box for any person that comes directly into my booth via a Google search for my items to see. It is NOT the image I wish to convey to my customers. Who in their right mind is going to take me as a serious seller of my higher end antiques with stupid knock-knock jokes in the chat window? If this is not a joke and a permanent feature, there needs to be a way for the booth owner to disable it and that needs to be programmed STAT.
Bizzy doesn’t know Knock, Knock jokes.LOL
Love your sense of humor Bill! As hard as you guys work, you deserve a little play time LOL. Now come at us with the “April Fools!” so that those who are taking it seriously can relax!
sorry collectiblecorner, I won’t ‘relax’ until it is disabled. I have to go to work and really don’t want dog in vomit jokes in my chat window for anyone to see. Yeah, maybe I’m just a cranky old woman, but I’ve worked to hard on my ‘brand’ over the years to deal with this.
I really don’t like that anyone who comes into my booth can turn the bot on.
Well heck, I just might get some work done today…, and let Bizzy take over.
Love your sense of humor
I am very upset and am ready to leave because of it. Terrible, whether it is a joke or not, it is not funny. Disgusting and childish. I work my ass off to do things right and this is a big turn off
Hi bleumoons, you misunderstood me I think, I wasn’t suggesting that anyone’s cranky and my comment wasn’t directed at you personally! Just a general comment after seeing so many unhappy sellers discussing this in the forum. Just wanted to acknowledge the joke and suggest it was time to fess up so people can relax and move on. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Where’s the confession? Is it a joke? Has it been acknowledged as a joke..like I said, if it is, it is NOT funny
ok, I can’t seem to figure out how to start Bizzy.
LOL, again i was subjected to one of the newest things very early this morning! I walked in on Mark Bill and Bizzy Hamming it up!
Very Interesting guys!! We May actually be able to get housework done .. lol
PLEASE may we have to option to turn her off? PLEASE! Those that love her can have her and those that don’t can turn her off.
@vitoriansagejewelry, if you type “Off” in your booth chat window Bizzy will disappear. To enable her just type “On”
on/off, on/off, on/off…wish I could do that to MY boss…LOL…love it!
This has to be an April Fool’s joke. But you know what? I like having another body in my booth. With two of us there, a new person coming in will be more likely to stay and not run scared.
Now, how do I keep Bizzy’s Avatar but not her chatter?
@ Mark, anyone can turn Bizzy on in ANY booth.
It doesn’t need to be the booth owner.
That is where some the issue is.
@dakotaexchange, we just uploaded the feature yesterday so there are bound to be areas to improve. Disabling the ability for another user to enter a command sounds like a reasonable request and I am sure that Bill will get that handled this week if not sooner.
This is too much fun..and I can turn her on in anyone’s booth.
Just left a seriously disjointed conversation in Pam’s booth. LOL
I just hope its an april fools joke.
ya I can turn her off but anyone else can turn it on.
Well if you decide to keep her here, can you get rid of the stupid and disgusting jokes? Very unprofessional
I agree with victoriansagejewelry, it’s very unprofessioanl and I dont want a bot in my booths.
I would like an option to disable Bizzy completely.
And all I have to do is start any sentence with the word on and there she is…of off and there she goes.
Fun time is over, got to get back to work… LOL
I would like to see Bizzy disabled. I don’t want her in my booth and I don’t think the jokes are funny – especially ones about vomit – just plain gross. If something is going to be chatting in my booth besides real live people, I want control over it. After all – it’s my seller’s reputation that is at stake – not Bizzy’s.
Well at least she’s pretty
I think Bizzy is creative, innovative, unique, and a hoot! Thanks for the funneee
April Fool’s joke or not. I now know who the real fool’s are. I was going to list more in my booth today, but I’ll be working on my web site instead.
Curious to know how many sellers have been rethinking their decision to be here, because of all the stupid little jokes and games played here.
Maybe the sites name should be changed to Romper Room.
This is really great!!
If I want my customers to talk to mindless scripted drones, I would still be selling at the ‘other’ place. No offense. I love it here.
Not sure I like this idea. I am all about fun, but this is kind of ridiculous and unprofessional. I think the amount of time spent on this could have been more productively spent on areas of the “what’s next” list, which is what is important to the sellers.
bizzy is calling me monkey face!? lol
VERY Disappointed if this is NOT a joke…. Low class to the max!
I am 50/50 on this. It is funny and now that nobody else can turn it on but the booth owner it is okay. I would love to see her welcome people to the booths and maybe help guide. Like she could say welcome to my Bonanza booth. If you would like to hear more about the seller see booth details or profile, if you would like to hear about the checkout process type checkout. Program her to respond to key words that help with things buyers would be curious about. And could always have her say if you want to hear a joke type joke or something like that. To make her more helpful but still have the fun aspect.
Just an idea.
Well…this ‘bizzy’ is NOT amused at bizzy-da-bot…plain and simple
Funny joke Bill! April Fool’s Day to you too
Can’t wait til next year to see what you have planned. Seriously… LOL
I may be Dizzy, but I like Bizzy (but only one day a year)
Great fun! Thanks for the laughs.
Well =I= liked her!!
I really did not like having Bizzy. I did not see the jokes referenced above but KNOW I would not like it. I am not a big joke teller and do not participate in the forum games. Too too much to do during the day!!! My fun relaxation time is going shopping!!!
I think she looks like Jo in the facts of life.
Come on now, I just opened my computer and read nearly half and then the April fools popped o ut. I haven’t been on in such a longtime due to illness and now a wedding,so I do ot have time for jokes about Bonanzle…I love it here, the excitement is still here everytime I turn on my computer. LOL
