Why was the location of each seller or buyer removed from their profile page? I really liked being able to see where each person is located either in the states or out. It has been gone for quite some time and I miss seeing it.
I just liked knowing when I went into any store, if I was considering buying something, I would be able to go to their profile page to see where the item was coming from.

Don’t know why but it was removed sometime ago..it was either in the What we are working on section or mentioned in a blog…
I think it was one of the feedback options that someone suggested removing the map from the booth panels…which also removed it from the profile page…there were some newer people that apparently did not want that information posted
Since older blogs and What we are working on, is no longer searchable, I cannot find the link for you…
Don’t like that it is gone either…made it easier to do a quick check

I like security too, but I also like to know when I am ordering from another country. Sometimes I need an item quickly and can’t wait for it to come from another country.

It was probably for security purposes.
Not everyone likes all of the that info out there where everyone can see it because their store is in their home. They may feel unsafe because it really isn’t hard to find people if you get a pretty good general location description.
Putting the state or country there wouldn’t be so bad but not the city. I for one am glad it’s gone for security reasons.

Adding where a seller is, if the seller opts to is extremely important. If a seller decides to opt out that is fine….. And probably their loss

I was just chatting with another seller about the same issue. I had to contact them to see if they were in the US.I also liked the feature the other way. I Would like that option to chose to show location it if we wanted .

I didn’t like having the map, because I’m in a small rural area. I do think it is important to have at least a general idea, like the name of the area / largest close town, etc.
Customers have a right to know whether they are ordering within their province / state or from overseas. You shouldn’t have to track sellers down to get an idea of whether you have time to get an item for an event, etc, based on where they are located.
Of course, then you do get those unscrupulous sellers who ‘claim’ they are in the USA, but then you find out your undisclosed ‘dropshipper’ is actually in another country. Tacky

Yeah, I liked knowing what state they were in for delivery calculations, shipping or receiving.
also was helpful to determine if they were international or domestic.

Little map = no necessary
Knowing what state or country seller is in = necessary
I hadn’t been able to find the location of sellers for a while, but I thought it was just me who had forgotten where that info was. But… When I am buying a used item, I’m not so bothered. There were a lot of things I passed up here on Bonanza just recently, though, when shopping for my son’s birthday. When I couldn’t see where the seller was located, and it was a new item, I just moved along. Because I’m not buying from China. Bummer that the feature is gone.

My buying on Bonanza.com has dramatically slowed down because I don’t have the assurance that the Seller is in the USA. To me it is VERY important that I know that the Seller is IN the USA…I don’t buy from Sellers outside the USA for many reasons I will not mention.
We NEED this feature back!

I am new to Bonanza and still in learning mode. I noticed that some items show where it is shipped from, but not all. So naturally I went looking for answers. I would like to see on the item description page where my purchase is coming from. However, there is the option to pick the country the item is shipped from when you do a search. So I will probably use that in the future.
