New Server -- Scheduled Downtime 10 PM Monday (UPDATED)
UPDATE 11/10: Testing for the new server is underway. Read about it here. Much progress has been made on getting the new server online over the last couple days. It is now preliminarily running at a secret location, and after we spend Monday putting it through some tests to ensure the smoothest transition possible, we plan to pack our bags and put it online for Tuesday morning. Doing the actual move will require the site to be down for some time while we copy the last of the files across and get everything up and running. I am planning to start the transition at 10 PM on Monday evening, and hope to have the site back online by Tuesday morning (ideally around 2 AM). Tuesday there may be a snag or two, since we have upgraded the software on many fronts as part of this move, but with any luck, we're hoping that with the new hardware plus the expertise of the folks helping us to manage this hardware (props to Planet Argon!), we won't have to talk about the "P" word (performance) for some time to come. Ah, to dream!

I have been eagerly waiting for this new server.
Once it is up, I will add more listings and replace the 1000s of old ones with much better ‘versions’, followed by a mailing to my 1000s of repeat buyers to come visit my store.

it’s way fast, I went in and tested it. I was confused at first when you said the database would be wiped out, till I figured out you meant the TEST db not the real one (whew!) I can’t wait till tomorrow, I’m going to have fun listing the rest of my stuff really fast!
