Welcome Bonanza's First Seller Advisory Panel!

In January, when I started with Bonanza, the dire need to resuscitate our passionate seller community to be at the core of our foundation quickly resonated with me. This idea of increased seller engagement that will sustainably guide us towards long term success became paramount with fraud reduction and compliance for our company. The first task was appointing Shelly Breuer as our Seller Happiness Manager to develop our plan - and thus our Seller Advisory Panel was born. As promised in this blog, we have created the Panel, and I am excited to introduce our inaugural new members!

We received a mind-blowing number of applications, and it was so inspiring to see all the sellers willing to help us to develop a best in class value proposition where we can clearly and quantitatively demonstrate that we are the most seller-centric marketplace in the industry. A special message to the hundreds of sellers who took the time to apply and desired to play an active role in helping guide Bonanza to be "back on top:" We say, "thank you, and please do not let this curb your Bonanza enthusiasm! There will be other opportunities for you to get involved. We thank you dearly for your continued support and passion."

The Seller Advisory Panel will provide critical insights and guidance on multiple levels of our business. First and foremost, they will bring a much-needed voice into the development of our product roadmap and our strategic planning. On a more tactical level, they will also assist with completing surveys, evaluating new tools, and sharing their business perspectives. We have a diverse group of dedicated sellers with integrity. The panelists that have accepted this new role represent diversity in our marketplace both in product representation and levels of business & technical experience. We are looking forward to hearing unfiltered feedback that will provide data and insights into current usage.

To introduce this new group, we asked each of the panelists to provide a brief biography. Without further ado, we are proud to introduce Bonanza's First Seller Advisory Panel:

Korine Poe at CharmedCreations

I'm Korine and I started my business in 2008, joining Bonanza in 2012. My booth name is CharmedCreations and I've stocked it full of trendy fashion jewelry and women's accessories. With 12 years of full-time e-commerce selling experience, I hope to offer unique insight to help the Bonanza community through the Seller Advisory Panel.

Brian Schnurr at NordstomsAuto

Hi, my name is Brian. I work at Nordstrom’s Automotive, Inc. and we have a team of three people that manage our e-commerce sales and customer service here on Bonanza.com. Our booth is Nordstromsauto.  We have been a seller on Bonanza.com since 2015. Our company and the Nordstroms family have been in the auto recycling business since 1969 in Garretson, South Dakota. We sell new and recycled automotive products for your vehicle whether you are a full-fledged mechanic or a do-it-yourselfer. We love the fun atmosphere and our customers here on Bonanza.com. Steve Bolton at SpaceAgeAntiques

Hi, I'm Steve and my booth is SpaceAgeAntiques.  I've been on Bonanza since 2010.  I've been buying and selling online since 1998 though.  I run my booth by myself, with a little help from my wife.  I enjoy selling antiques and collectibles but do sell quite a few other types of items as well.  It is nice to sometimes help a buyer find that unique item they are looking for.  It has worked out for me selling here, sales have been great.  I hope to contribute some good ideas.  

Lou and Helen Viggiano Pageturner Books

My wife and I have been on Bonanza since 2017. Our booth name is Page Turner Books. We sell mostly new and used books but on occasion list other things as well such as historic newspapers, shoes, and household items. We have greatly enjoyed our experience on Bonanza and expect to continue for many years to come.

I'm Arley and my booth is ArleyArt. I've been involved with e-commerce for about 20 years and been with Bonanza since 2013. I operate my business by myself. My shop features motivational posters for young athletes and sports-related wall décor.  I am located in Springfield, Missouri but I am originally from the Seattle area. I was born and raised in Bremerton, Washington. In a previous life, I spent over 30 years in the sporting goods business with Eddie Bauer and Bass Pro Shops.

I'm Judy and opened my first Bonanza Booth, BargainBuffet4You, in 2014. It features a variety of items both new and pre-owned. In 2018, I opened a second Bonanza Booth for handmade reclaimed granite made by my husband Tom, GraniteCheeseBoards, and complementary accessories. I manage both Booths and love all the features Bonanza provides. For us, free booths, calculated shipping, multiple payment processors, bulk editing, and additional free features other online venues and/or websites charge for. are why we love Bonanza. I believe Bonanza is stepping up their efforts in identifying ways they may assist sellers to be more successful in the current economic environment. I'm so excited that Bonanza is proactive in recognizing the needs of both sellers and buyers and their success.

Cynthia Huggett It's Your Turn

My name is Cindy and I have three booths though now I do most of my selling from It's Your Turn (userID ccmom).I joined Bonanza on Jun 6, 2009, with my original booth Cindy Bears Den to sell a massive Teddy Bear collection left to our family from a relative. Most of which sold in the early days here. Later my son wanted to help so I opened ccmom, It's Your Turn for him to sell toys and books. He lost interest and I built it up with new and used items.My third booth TrinketBox was again opened to sell some estate items from another relative, mostly old currency, jewelry, and miscellaneous items, most of which have sold now. I first joined I was still working for NCSU as a Research Assistant and consulting Marine Biologist. I have since retired. I have watched Bonanza grow and change over the years and have tried to keep up with changes. Happy to be selected for the Seller Advisory Panel and have always been glad to help when I can.

My name is Adam, and I am the owner of At Peace Memorials. We are an industry-leading company in the memorials and funeral supply market. We have been in business for over 10 years, and we currently carry over 12,500 products including cremation urns, cremation jewelry, scattering tubes, memorial plaques, funeral handouts, and other funeral and memorial products. We have been selling on Bonanza for a number of years now and it is one of our most popular and successful marketplaces to sell and shop on.

My name is Rita Laverty. I was born & raised in Del Mar, California a small town 20 minutes from San Diego.  I have a love for Antiques & Vintage.  In 1981, when I graduated from high school, my graduation gift from my parents was a 100-year-old scrolled 10K gold bangle bracelet from an Estate sale. Years later an Antique Gossip Bench. I have always appreciated & love all items Antiques & Vintage.  I joined Bonanza in 2012 with my first booth, MomentsInThyme. In 2017 added a second booth VintageSweetheart. Blessed to be here at Bonanza.

I'm Angela and my booth is Ang's Online Closet.  Over 5 years ago, I picked up a passion for selling items that we don't use around the house.  When an item is purchased, I'll always send an email to thank them and go that extra mile with communication.  I'll also include coupons or something that could be of value to them.  Helping to find a home for items we no longer need, to go to someone else instead, makes me happy.  Helping others is another passion of mine, so I look forward to being part of this advisory panel!

Our dedication to customer service has helped propel our business growth over the past few years.  Bonanza has been integral in that regard by helping us connect with and grow our customer base substantially.

Michael Wiwchar Brollectibles

Brollectibles is a booth that specializes in clothing and was founded in 2013. I primarily focus on clothing which brings me happiness and fond memories and in turn I try to pass this on to my buyers. The majority of the items found in my shop are unique. I hand curate and pick the items which go into my shop and the majority of the items are generally limited to 1 of a specific item. I love the search and posting of the unique items I find and I hope that every potential buyer that browses will find that unique item that can find anywhere else.
